Through The Glass

My inspirations for my art was from my own personal feelings and experience. I used water color, color pastel, and yarn for my art. I used these because they're very soft and delicate and that's the look i wanted for my work. I used the color pastel to dust lightly and water color to fill in the center of the magnifying glass. I want my audience to feel connected and sad in a way when seeing my art, even without knowing the true meaning to it. Some decisions i faced when making this art were whether or not to add more flowers to it so i can show more chapters. I could've also added more leaves to the vines but decided not to due to being distracted on the black, dusted background. The only difficult thing i went through while making this piece was simply thinking of a sketch or plain idea to start off of. I was thinking deep and that led to me having the idea of the magnifying glass and making my final piece. I think i could've added more eyes to the art because three is not even close to enough since i feel the fear so deep in my heart. I had to research some meaningful flowers and animals that symbolized important aspects of my art. I came to learn that so many animals mean different things. I feel the most successful aspects of my art are the flowers and the whole magnifying glass. I think the flowers are the most meaningful to me because they represent growth and chapters. Although you can't tell, a magnifying glass is a magnifying glass, I can still tell myself and I like how light and subtle it is.
